Why Getting the Right Ring Size Matters
A ring that is too tight is uncomfortable and can be dangerous, while a ring that is too loose risks falling off and being lost. Getting the right ring size is essential — and it is easier than you might think. Corelune Jewellery has put together this simple guide to help you measure your ring size at home.
Method 1: The String or Paper Strip Method
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string approximately 10cm long.
- Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you want to measure.
- Mark where the paper or string overlaps with a pen.
- Measure the length in millimetres — this is your finger's circumference.
- Use our ring size chart below to find your UK ring size.
Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring
If you already own a ring that fits well, simply measure its internal diameter (in millimetres) and match it to the chart below.

Top Tips for Accurate Sizing
- Measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest.
- Avoid measuring when you are cold, as fingers shrink in cold temperatures.
- If you are between sizes, always go up to the larger size.
- For wider bands, order a half size larger than usual — wide bands fit more snugly.
