The difference from the cable chain: With a cable chain, the links are also alternately rotated, but they are rounder and lie less flat. The curb chain is flatter and more tightly linked.

The difference from the Cuban link: Cuban links have faceted link surfaces for maximum light reflection. Curb chains have simple, non-faceted links; less shine, but often cheaper and more durable.
