What is aquamarine?

Aquamarine is a blue to blue-green beryl – related to emerald and morganite, but in shades of sea and sky blue. It is the birthstone of March, very clear in high quality and ideal for daily wear (Mohs 7.5–8).

• Mostly very clear – hardly any inclusions in high-quality pieces
• Origin: Brazil and Mozambique provide the most intense blue tones
