This question arrives by email almost every week: "You are based in Düsseldorf, why is there a Dutch address on the package?" The answer is quite unspectacular. Corelune is a German company, the Oberlaender Ecom UG in Düsseldorf. The warehouse is located in the Netherlands because it allows for equally fast access to Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands itself.

What are the shipping costs and delivery times?

Prices depend on the country of delivery, not the weight. A necklace weighing 65 g costs the same to ship as a pair of stud earrings weighing 4 g. The length also makes no difference: a long 70 cm necklace fits in the same flat package as a 32 cm choker. Gold-colored pieces are 14-karat gold-plated, 2.5 micrometers thick, which also withstands transport without scratches.

Items in stock are shipped on the next business day. If you order on a Friday evening, the package usually arrives in Germany between Tuesday and Thursday.

Customs and taxes: why there are no additional costs within the EU

There are no customs borders between EU countries. German VAT is already included in the displayed price, and the delivery service will not collect any additional fees at your door. The same applies to Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

It is different for orders from China or the USA. There, import VAT and often a processing fee from the delivery service are added, and the package sometimes sits in customs for a week. As a result, some bargains on large marketplaces end up being more expensive than expected. Special case: Switzerland

Switzerland is not part of the EU. According to the rules of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, Swiss VAT of 8.1 percent is only levied if the tax amount exceeds 5 francs. This corresponds to a package value of around 62 francs, including shipping. If the order exceeds this, the tax and a customs clearance fee from the post office apply, which starts at a minimum of 11.50 francs. Switzerland has not levied customs duties on jewellery as industrial goods since 2024.

In practice, this means: one or two items usually remain free of additional costs for Swiss customers; for larger orders, it is worth taking a quick look at the total amount.

What if something doesn't fit?

You have 14 days from receipt to return the items. You bear the return shipping costs, and you will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
