Welche Kettenlänge passt, wenn ich nichts über die Trägerin weiß?

45 Zentimeter. Die Kette sitzt damit knapp unterhalb des Halses und funktioniert zu Pullover wie zu Bluse. 40 Zentimeter wirken enger und liegen näher am Hals, 50 fallen auf dem Dekolleté auf. Bei Unsicherheit ist 45 die Länge mit der geringsten Fehlerquote.

Ist Edelstahlschmuck als Weihnachtsgeschenk zu unpersönlich?

What you can safely buy in advance

Necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Anything that doesn't require an exact size. A 45-centimeter necklace sits on the collarbone of almost every woman, and hoop earrings with a diameter of 12 to 20 millimeters always fit. For men's bracelets, a rough estimate of the wrist size is sufficient, as most models have extension links.

The statutory right of withdrawal lasts 14 days from receipt of the goods, so for a purchase on November 27th, it ends in mid-December. Many shops voluntarily extend the period for Christmas orders. If nothing is stated about this in the terms and conditions, ask briefly before buying and keep the answer.

Which chain length fits if I know nothing about the wearer?

45 centimeters. The chain sits just below the neck and works with sweaters as well as blouses. 40 centimeters look tighter and lie closer to the neck; 50 centimeters are noticeable on the décolleté. If in doubt, 45 is the length with the lowest error rate.

Is stainless steel jewellery too impersonal as a Christmas gift?

That depends on the choice, not the material. A piece that matches the person's style feels more personal than an expensive one that is off the mark. What stainless steel cannot do: pass as an investment or be melted down. If you expect that, gold is the right choice.

How should I wrap jewellery as a gift?

A flat box with an insert prevents chains from tangling during transport. Place the chain inside closed and in a loop, not stretched out. A handwritten card has a greater effect on the overall impression than a twenty-euro surcharge on the piece.
