German / EU system: Inner circumference in mm (e.g., ring size 54 = 54 mm inner circumference)

UK system: Letters (e.g., UK N ≈ EU 54)

The most common ring sizes for women in Germany are between 48 and 58, with 52 to 54 being the most widespread. For men, the standard is usually between 58 and 66.

Method 1: Measuring ring size with string

This method is simple and requires only a piece of string or a strip of paper as well as a ruler:

Cut a narrow strip of paper or take a piece of string, approx. 10 cm long.
Wrap it snugly around the finger you have chosen for the ring. Make sure it fits over your knuckle.
Mark the point where the end of the strip meets the beginning.
Lay the string / strip of paper flat on a ruler and measure the length in millimeters.
